The Center for Technology, Research, and Commercialization was founded in 2016 as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit to service a Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) with the Air Force CyberWorx program.
While providing recruiting and event support for AF CyberWorx, C-TRAC was approached by AFRL Space Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/RV) in New Mexico to create a technology transfer (T2) tool that could bring government, industry and academic institutions together in a virtual space. Our development team created a beta web platform, TechnologyMarketplace.com, and anticipate future development of this virtual collaboration space.
In 2017, C-TRAC partnered with AFRL to launch Catalyst Space Accelerator, which has seen the successful completion of terrestrial weather and positioning, navigation and timing cohorts. We are currently anticipating running 2 cohorts per year through the accelerator program over the coming years.
As of January 1, 2019, C-TRAC has officially joined the Catalyst Campus ecosystem as a subsidiary of Catalyst Campus for Technology and Innovation (CCTI) 501(c)(3). Our combined efforts bring the programming and recruiting experience of the C-TRAC team to the Catalyst Campus facilities and collaboration environment that have garnered fame nationwide.
Together, we are expanding our Air Force relationships, forging new relationships with multiple Army units, and always increasing our pool of leading-edge commercial partners, innovative small businesses, inventors and entrepreneurs.
At C-TRAC, we recognize our team and our relationships as our greatest assets. The human capital provides the experience, inspiration and motivation needed to drive our mission forward. But the culture of C-TRAC goes far beyond business. While the work we do includes the space and cyber realms, such as risk-analysis dashboards and wargaming, we are acutely aware that in the end, human operators – the men and women of our armed forces – are central to everything we do.
